the cottage itself was beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated. the lounge and bedroom were comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely. We were pleasantly surprised by the good WiFi signal and TV reception, which is not always the case in rural areas. the kitchen area was very well equipped, exceeding our expectations.
The cottage was situated on a main road, so we did notice some traffic, especially from passing lorries. the bedroom was located at the back of the property, so we still managed to have quiet and restful nights.

The cottage was clean and well-presented, with plenty of space and a well-equipped kitchen. The enclosed garden was a bonus, especially for bringing our dog. the off-street parking right outside the door was convenient.
The road outside the cottage was quite busy and noisy, which was bothersome especially for light sleepers. The internet connection was also slow, which could be frustrating for guests who rely on it for work or entertainment.

The cottage was very well equipped with everything you could need, from a fully stocked kitchen to a cozy fireplace. It was a great space for two people and had a good amount of room. Plus, the bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a great night's sleep.
There were no major issues with the cottage, but it would have been nice to have a pub within walking distance. this wasn't a big problem for us and didn't impact our stay too much.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully renovated cottage. It exceeded our expectations with its tasteful decor and well-equipped amenities. The WiFi signal and TV reception were excellent, which is a rare find in rural Scotland. We found the lounge and bedroom to be comfortable and cozy, and the bathroom was tastefully decorated. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, surpassing our expectations. We also loved the enclosed garden, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine. The location was great, with shops and takeaways nearby, and it served as a perfect base for exploring Dumfries and Galloway. Despite being on a main road, the bedroom at the back of the property provided a quiet night's sleep.
The only minor drawbacks were that the TV and frying pan were on the smaller side. Additionally, the road outside the cottage could be a bit noisy when lorries passed by, but it didn't bother us much.
